- Give back to your BA community
If you are already a member of your local BA chapter be active in the chapter by volunteering. Many chapters run events, study groups, and are always looking for people to assist.
- Promote value of the Business Analysis in your organisation
Struggling to get stakeholder buy-in for some or most of your projects? Take lead and promote the value of Business Analysis in your organisation – there are multiple ways to do this. For example, hold an annual Business Analysis ”show day” in your organisation where you showcase projects that BA team has worked on and the value they have given to the organisation! OR create a quarterly BA newsletter where you showcase case studies, trends, and leading BA practices.
- Commit to learning a new skill
Reflect on your career as a Business Analyst to see how far you have come in your career and where you want to grow. Your career is a journey and is always evolving – there is room for development. Commit to learning a new skill and hold yourself accountable.
- Connect and network with other Business Analysts
Learning is a key competency outlined in the BABOK. There is always room to learn from each other especially learning from your peers who have travelled or are travelling the same journey as you. A great way to learn from fellow peers in your organisation is to establish a Business Analysis community of practice where you regularly meet and share experiences and leading practices.
- Actively seek out coaching and mentorship opportunities that can benefit your career
Are you new to Business Analysis or you are an intermediate BA wanting to get to the next level in your career? Take charge of your career by identifying coaching and mentorship opportunities.
